The adventure started with the aftermath of the battles in the entranceway of the Banewarrens and dealing with the consequences. Cupric and Allele’a rejoined the rest of the party and discovered that Perianor had fallen and the exit from the Banewarerns was now blocked with a Wall of Stone, sealing the party within.   As Cupric wandered off again mumbling something about the cat creatures being Lamia, the rest of the party witnessed the stone wall blocking their retreat disappear. Lying beyond it was the corpse of the minotaur and Perianor. Despite heroic efforts, Father Brendan was unable to do anything for the already dead Perianor, but the escaping attackers had fled rather than loot or steal the knight's corpse.

At about the same time that Father Brendan finished his prayers over Sir Perianor’s corpse Cupric stumbled upon the paladin they had been sent to locate in an upstairs storage room. The paladin, Kalerecent, was morning the loss of his traveling companion Rsanir who had fallen in an earlier battle with the Lamia. Words were said over both of the fallen and Cupric led Kalerecent bask to the rest of the party and everyone made a cautious retreat.

Upon exiting the tunnel in Rinner’s stables the party found Rinner unconscious. Rinner’s recollection was that the group that had tangled with the party had knocked him unconscious and entered the tunnel.  The party persuaded Rinner to accompany the group back to the church to make a full report.

Upon arriving back at the church, Perianor and Rsanir were committed into the hands of the clergy, who through prayers sought to determine if raising the fallen was the will of The Seven. While this was going on there was a debriefing of the events of the previous day with the church council. Much information was traded back and forth, including the fact that there may be a key to the Banewarrens in the city. The party mulled over the possibilities of getting a hold of the key, but the church council asked the group to continue their investigations while sending a group of knights to watch the area in case the mysterious looters returned.

For the party, It was decided that a return trip to the Banewarrens would be necessary. A night was spend preparing for the return trip and saying good-byes to Sir Perianor, and in the morning the party departed for the entrance to the Banewarrens. As the party arrived at the church’s newly acquired property it was decided that Kalrecent would guard the exit while the rest of the party explored. The trek back was mostly uneventful, and a thorough search began. One of the oddities that was found was a giant imposing iron statue guarding a warded door. It was decided that since the magic “caulking” around the door seemed undisturbed that it was better to leave the room as it was. Further investigation turned up a likely holding place for aberrant that appeared to have been recently vacated. A holding area with a strap heavy board and a room with a huge block of melting ice were just a few of the enigmas that the group encountered in their search. While the search through the now empty holding cells was taking place a troll-like creature appeared out of nowhere and wrought grievous wounds upon the party. Twice he was beaten back and both times before a killing blow could be landed he disappeared again. It was decided after this difficult battle to retreat the warrens and seek the guidance of the council again.
